Karen’s ‘Net Monitor is a small utility that might not be interesting for simple home users that use computer only for entertainment and completing simple tasks, like editing of documents and playing multimedia files. It can be useful for professional web designers and network administrators. This application was developed for automatic testing of web servers or testing connections to any computer from a local network. The mechanism of this program is very simple. First of all you should create a list of web sites, e-mail servers or other computers for testing. You can create such list in settings section. After that you should define testing interval. That is all. Every defined period of time the program tries to connect to a chosen web site and saves a record about failure or success into a special log file. Such log file can be easily saved for further usage. The program also has an icon in the system tray. This icon can be used for opening the program’s main window and immediate test of network connections. Karen’s ‘Net Monitor is light-weight and doesn’t need a lot of system resources for stable work.
